Artist: Nena Brown
Title of piece: “Road To Success”
Inspiration behind piece: It was inspired by life and the road we each follow to success. Vicky Lawrence is a good example for road to success because she followed hers and had great success. It is also a great representation of Tapestry (the event), which has helped many women find their own road.
What Does Art Mean to You?
Art is a way to express your heart, emotions and soul. It means that you can share part of yourself with the world.
What is your favorite medium?
I have to say pencil and paper; it is one of the most basic mediums. It is where ideas start and bloom into something as simple as a doodle, or it can become a masterpiece.
Where do you prefer to work on your art?
I love to be comfortable, so I sit in my favorite chair in my studio in front of a window.
What inspires you most?
Life inspires me. The journeys we all have to follow to succeed are amazing.
Who is/are your biggest supporter(s)?
My husband Johnny, family and friends.
Where can we find more of your work?
