P.S. from the Editor

September! School has now been in full swing for the last few weeks and I’m currently getting back into a routine after quenching my wanderlust this summer. For family visits, weddings and vacation, I’ve actually been to Nashville, Tenn., to NYC and NJ, to Austin, Texas, to Atlanta, Ga. to Iowa, to Chicago, to Switzerland, and to pretty much the whole country of Greece within the last four months… and I am SO pumped to be staying in the Hoosier state for the foreseeable future. I’m so glad to be home sweet home in Indiana. I’ve missed it.

Two days after landing in Chicago from a nine hour flight from Zurich, I got to meet over 500 ladies at the first Wine, Women and Wellness event put on by glo magazine at Two EE’s Winery in Huntington last month. To say this was a fabulous event would be an understatement! Check out the spread we put together inside this month’s magazine about the event.

This month, we also recognize that it is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. While we support all types of women’s cancer awareness, ovarian cancer in particular happens to hit home for this magazine. Gloria Baumgartner, late wife of glo’s publisher Ron Baumgartner, passed away from ovarian cancer in 2008 at the age of 63. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, and is memorialized as the namesake of this magazine.

In this month’s issue you can read about another great woman who also passed away due to ovarian cancer: Diann Hunt, a local author who recently had her novel turned into a Lifetime movie. There’s also a feature on Debbie Johnston, who is currently fighting the disease. Don’t miss these!

I hope you all have a lovely month. Happy September!
