Mimi Rolland | Not Slowing Down

There are many words to describe Mimi Rolland, but at the forefront is her exuberant personality and infectious laughter! Mimi and her husband, Ian, have served the Allen County community well over the years. As major contributors and founders of many civic, non-profit and educational institutions, and collectors of art, their footprint is well engrained in Fort Wayne society. Although retired, Mimi has no intention of folding up her tent when it comes to good causes. She still conducts sing-a-longs at various nursing homes, continues to collect works of art and conducts art auctions for charities. What drives Mimi? “The person who has most influenced me the most is my husband, Ian,” says Mimi. “He is very patient with me!” Mimi has five children, 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. “My kids have inspired me as well,” adds Mimi. “When our family gets together believe me it is a houseful of laughter and fun!”

Summer activities that Mimi enjoys:

  • “Going to the lake.”
  • “Spending time with my kids and grandkids.”
  • “Playing the piano.”
  • “Visiting museums.”
  • “Reading.”
  • “Visiting with my friends and playing Boggle and Scrabble.”
